Effects can be applied to an object, group, or layer to change its characteristics. Applied effect to an object appears in the Appearance panel. From the Appearance panel, you can edit the effect, move it, duplicate it, delete it, or save it as part of a graphic style.
To apply a shadow under the object:
- Select the object using Selection Tool.
- Go to Effect >Stylize in top menu bar
- Click “Drop Shadow” to open the drop-shadow effect settings window.
- Configure the way you want your drop shadow to look using the provided settings and then click “OK” to apply the shadow to your object.
